The Essendon Football Club has developed a new education program to complement VCE units 3 and 4.

The program was developed by Essendon Football Club personnel in conjunction with a panel of VCE PE teachers and addresses the key learning areas in the VCE PE curriculum.

Key learning areas addressed include:

  • Monitoring and promotion of physical activity
  • Physiological requirements of elite athletes
  • Enhancing fitness through training
  • Strategies for enhancing performance, and more.

The Presentations are DVD-based and include:

  • Essendon fitness staff and coaches
  • Analysis of player performance (energy systems, fitness components)
  • Data collection (fitness testing, GPS)
  • Discussion of training principles and methods used at Essendon.

The program also allows students to visit the Essendon gymnasium to experience a professional training environment and equipment first hand, including our hot and cold recovery tubs, vibrating platform, weight deloaders, medical room and more.

Duration:
The program will take approx 2 hours.

All inclusive cost is $15 per student which includes a student work booklet.
There is a minimum cost of $250 per session.
