HOW TO PLAY

HOW TO PLAY

General Rules

Entrants are required to select one AFL player each week for the 22 rounds of the home and away AFL season.  The player selected may be updated as many times as desired up until closing time for that round, which is 10 minutes before the final match of the round. Only players in matches yet to begin will be available for selection. The last received player selected will be taken as final, even if the player does not play as a result of a late withdrawal from the team.

The number of goals that the selected player kicks will be added to the entrant’s total goals for the season.

The following restrictions apply to the selection of players during the season:

  • Over the course of the full season each entrant must select at least one player from each of the 16 AFL teams
  • Entrants cannot select the same player in successive weeks
  • Entrants cannot select the same player more than twice during the season

The goal kicking statistics used will be strictly those posted on the official Essendon website, which are sourced from Champion Data.

The leaderboard will be updated each week with the leaders for that round, and the overall leaders for the season.

The competition will take place for all 2010 home and away matches. EFC will make all determinations about any dispute with respect to the competition, including the goals allocated to each entrant after each round.  Any decision by EFC will be final.

Coleman Card

Each entrant will have the ability to use one ‘Coleman Card’ during the season. If an entrant elects to use his or her Coleman Card in a particular round, that entrant will receive double the number of goals that their selected player kicks in that round.

Default Scores

If an entrant fails to select a player for a particular round for any reason (including a system or internet error), no goals will be awarded to that entrant.
