Around the Club

Great feel within the Club at present, as all now know that the hard work of the last 18 months is starting to impact, and excellent performances both on and off the field have lifted the moral from the low of last seasons wooden spoon.

Sponsors, members and supporters, are queuing at the doors to get in and taste some of the action.

Construction on several fronts is now well underway…and the Lauderdale venue is looking as sharp as it ever has. The Clarence City Council have dipped into their pockets, and a continuous flow of bricks and mortar are envisaged for the next 18 months.

Football Operations

Exciting new recruits, Jack Siggins (Dodges Ferry), Brodie Johnson (Brisbane), Jamie Di Ienno (Hobart FC) & Michael Clarke (Hobart FC), are all now playing excellent football and have lifted our home grown talent to new heights.

Tireless Captain Marcus Fitze, is again leading by example, and is probably just pipping Mitch Robinson, Alex Hevey, Dion Mead and Cameron Milne in the "best player" awards, however keep a close watch on the two gamer, Jamie Di Ienno, who after last weekends six goal haul, promises to be there on B&F night.

Senior Coach, Steve Woods has methodically given numerous of our younger players a taste at senior level, and players such as Ben Rogers and Alex Cook have seized the opportunity and have held their spots well.

Season proper to date

Our 6 Junior teams are virtually unbeatable to this point. Our 4 Teenage sides are all top of the ladder, or there about, and all four will play Finals Footy this season.

The U19's & Reserves are still suffering as a result of the 2005 decision to play and develop our youth, however, as each season passes, we are one year closer to a clean sweep, in all grades, as far as finals are concerned.

The Seniors, last year's wooden spooners, are now sitting just outside the final five…….by the slimmest of percentage points…and are the talk of the town of late.
