In 2005 Essendon Football Club joined the AFL, Richmond Football Club, MCC and The Long Walk in establishing the annual Dreamtime at the G game - a match dedicated to celebrating the role Australian Rules Football has played in building bridges between indigenous and non-indigenous Australia.

The game has grown significantly - so much so the AFL was encouraged to establish an annual indigenous round with the Dreamtime at the G game the flagship event.

Round 11, Saturday, May 31, 2014 will be the 10th Anniversary of the Dreamtime at the G as well as The Long Walk. For the first time in the club's history the team will be wearing an exclusive Dreamtime guernsey that will also be made available via the Bomber Shop.

Featuring indigenous design elements submitted by Thomas Day 3rd via a community competition in 2013. More details will be released closer to the game.
