Dons celebrate Holi Mela

Essendon Football Club joined Victoria’s Indian community on Easter Monday to celebrate Holi Mela festival at Sandown Racecourse.

Essendon Football Club is always ahead of the curve and preparing, like the nation’s leading policy makers, for the Indian-Asian century. The Club is currently undertaking a range of activities to engage the Indian population of Melbourne, particularly those residing in the North-West.

EFC Indian Unity Cup Team

Essendon is entering an Indian team to represent both India and Essendon Football Club in the 2013 Unity Cup. The Unity Cup is a round robin style tournament, run over two days and involving the participation of a number of different cultures playing football.

Indian Bombers

After several years of hard work and persistence to get Aussie Rules Football rolling in different parts of the country, AFL India has successfully hosted the inaugural Aussie Rules tournament in India.

Essendon Football Club is working in close partnership with Melbourne’s vibrant and growing Indian community to provide opportunities to engage with Australian Rules Football and enjoy all the excitement and comradery of supporting the Essendon Football Club.

The club is particularly focusing on the North-West region of Melbourne, Essendon’s heartland, and is buoyed by the healthy migration trends and Indian population growth within this area.
