Very Special Kids
Each Essendon Football Club’s Windy Hill Venue raises more than $200,000 for Very Special Kids. Since the association began in 1999 a total contribution in excess of $120,000 has been made to the foundation.
Very Special Kids improves the quality of life for families who have a child with a life threatening illness. All of the services that are provided by Very Special Kids are free of charges to the families and they need the support provided by venues such as Windy Hill.
Two fundraising functions were held at Windy Hill during 2005 with close to $30,000 raised. A number of exciting fundraising initiatives are again planned for 2006.
