Latest Bomber TV

Target group:      Middle School

Age:                      Grade 6 to year 9

Cost:                     No charge

Duration:             2 hours (1 hour presentation and 1 hour activity)

A three phase program for students in the Middle School.  The first session is a two hour visit by athletes including Essendon footballers, Australian Paralympians or Melbourne Vixens, to the school.  Schools are provided with a Staff Information Package emailed prior to the athletes visit, Parent Information booklet for each student, Student Resource Brochure and gifts.  The second phase involves students working on a school based project that uses multimedia to raise the awareness of issues relevant to them.  These could include depression, drink driving, drug or alcohol abuse, safe sex, smoking, cyber bullying and life choices.  Each school selects their best idea and students present these to a panel of athletes at Windy Hill.  Prizes are donated by the Bendigo Bank Strathmore Community Branch and schools have the opportunity to win up to $1000.
