As a Bomber supporter, I'm sure you identify with everything it means to follow Essendon.
There is the loyalty and spirit, anchored on a tradition built over more than 100 years of league football. It means family and friends sharing a common faith. It means excitement. And, most of all, it means success. As a player, it also means hard work and commitment to a jumper we wear with pride. There is a bond that we share as players – we share the same sense of community with you, our members.
We delivered on some of our promises in 2009, never moreso than in a memorable Anzac Day win that typified the unity in our young playing group. First-year player David Zaharakis grabbed his moment that day and during the year others took their turns in the sun: Tayte Pears, Cale Hooker and Michael Hurley all stepped forward, setting the table for a fantastic 2010.
As you make your membership pact with the football club, we will again focus on continued improvement as we trace our path back to where we belong: the top. That's our commitment to you.
