Essendon forward Stewart Crameri has complimented the work rate of teammate Michael Hurley during the team’s 148-point win against Melbourne on Saturday night.

Hurley booted two goals against the Demons finishing with 19 possessions and eight marks.

Crameri told BomberTV the importance of the contest Hurley provided whenever the ball went in his direction should not be under-estimated.

“You have to ask for a contest and Hurls does that every time and it just frees up someone else,” Crameri said.

“The coaches and players are really happy with Hurls effort and the way he plays every week.”

Crameri goal kicking accuracy was superb on Saturday night booting six goals straight in the Bombers demolition of the Demons.

“I finally could kick straight, it has taken all summer, I have practiced over and over again,” Crameri said.

“I was lucky enough to get on the end of a couple but I am sure next week it might be Hurls or Paddy.”

Crameri praised the work of big man Tom Bellchambers who booted a bag of four goals as a resting ruck man in Saturday nights big win.

“It was a great effort from him, he takes a good contested mark almost every time so you cant ask for more than that,” Crameri said.
