Essendon forward Stewart Crameri has been cleared of any serious damage to his knee following Saturday night’s 148-point win against Melbourne.

Crameri played a key role in the Bombers win over the Demons booting six straight goals before limping from the field in the last quarter.

Football Operations Manager Steve Alessio said scans cleared the key forward of any serious damage and he would be monitored throughout the week in the lead up to Friday night.

“Stewart went and had some scans today, they have come back and we will just keep an eye on him this week,” Alessio said.

“We are hopeful that he will play, he is going to be training so we will keep an eye on him throughout this week.”

The Bombers good injury run this season continues with Crameri the only concern out of both the VFL and AFL matches on the weekend.

Jason Winderlich booted eight goals in three quarters as he continues his return from injury and looks set to play a full match against Box Hill on Saturday afternoon.

“He has been fantastic for us and we look forward to having Jason one hundred per cent and ready to go for the AFL team,” Alessio said.

Essendon’s VFL clash against Box Hill kicks off at 2pm at Windy Hill with EFC members gaining free entry to the match
