After an injury interrupted 2012 season David Zaharakis showed his value in 2013 averaging 23 disposals in 21 matches.

The run and pace of Zaharakis from around the contest played an important role in the Bombers best season in terms of wins since 2004.

The 23-year-old showed his poise under pressure forming part of the club’s formidable midfield throughout the season.

His expertise as the clutch specialist was once again displayed with a match-winning goal late in the thrilling Round 22 win over Carlton.

Zaharakis continued to show his ability to rise to the big occasion with another standout performance against Collingwood on ANZAC Day winning the ANZAC Day medal for his 34 disposals and four-goal showpiece.

After returning to his best in the back half of the 2013 season Zaharakis will surely be looking to take his game to another level in the Bombers 2014 finals tilt.
