Miss Universe Australia will host the red carpet arrivals at the club’s Crichton Medal evening tonight.

Olivia Wells was crowned Miss Universe Australia earlier this year and will represent Australia at the Miss Universe competition in Russia in November.

Thanks to Antler Luggage, the stunning brunette from Melbourne will be hosting the red carpet special with Essendon star David Zaharakis with all the action starting from 6pm at Crown Palladium.

In what will sure be a close call, Jobe Watson, Dyson Heppell, Brendon Goddard, Michael Hibberd, Jake Melksham and David Zaharakis are all in line to take out this years’ prestigious award. It will be a night not to be missed.

One of the innovative ways that the club is bringing the Crichton Medal closer to the fans that can’t make it is through the use of a special "Twitter Mirror."  This unique device has been used at many high-profile events including the Oscars, the Grammys, the NBA All-Star game and the French Open, just to name a few.

The concept is simple. A special set-up of the Twitter Mirror is positioned on the red carpet and then the players take over. The screen (which has a reflective surface (thus, the Mirror) has branding on it, much like the finished photo, so the players know how their image will appear. The images taken will be shared out on the club Twitter account @Essendon_FC.
