The Bombers exhilarating win over the Bulldogs on Sunday wasn’t the only victory the club saw on the weekend. Essendon enjoyed a significant off-field accomplishment with the club's award winning GLoBALL Program reaching record Multicultural Round attendance numbers.

Essendon Football Club Head of Community Cameron Britt explains that "the GLoBALL program is a free sporting immersion program specifically aimed at Melbourne's international students.

A joint initiative of both Essendon Football Club and Cricket Victoria, we are fortunate to have a major partnership with the Victorian Coalition Government who endorse and support the program for its wide benefits such as the promotion of social inclusion and belonging".

On the Friday evening leading up to the Sunday's game, the club hosted an inner-sanctum experience for 20 GLoBALL participants, allowing them to roll up their sleeves and assist the Bomber Cheer Squad in making Sunday's match banner. Students also experienced an exclusive tour of the True Value Solar Centre.

Pre game, over 200 GLoBALL participants packed into Etihad Stadium's Studio Room to participate in a free celebration function, with a lucky 50 selected to stand on the ground and form a guard of honour for the team as they entered the stadium.

Overall more than 430 GLoBALL participants attended the game and sat together in the stands to witness a nail biting Bombers victory - all in the name of celebrating diversity.
