Essendon Football Club will celebrate the club’s best and fairest player for 2014 at the Crichton Medal on Wednesday evening.

Following each game votes for the 2014 Crichton Medal are awarded by the club’s senior coaching panel consisting of Mark Thompson, Simon Goodwin, Matthew Egan and Nathan Bassett.

The panel allocates a vote out of ten for up to eight players in each match.

This means the maximum votes a player can receive per match is 40.

Awards given on the night include:

* CrichtonMedal (best-and-fairest)

* Best First Year

* Most Improved

* Best Clubman

* Rising Star
