Essendon will enter its match against Fremantle with no fresh injury concerns arising from the match against St Kilda.

The club’s medical staff have given the players the all clear in the wake on the Sunday’s match that went right down to the wire.

“Just the usual ‘corkies’ so we were pretty lucky we won’t lose anyone from the game,” Club Doctor Bruce Reid said.

“That’s a good start to the week because it’s only a six day break.”

Adam Cooney remains on track for a return against North Melbourne next week as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Jason Winderlich is also edging closer to a return from his back injury.

“He's running freely, pain free … no leg pain at all,” Dr Reid said.

“We’ll just get his base up, take our time and he’ll probably play in about four or five weeks.”

Heath Hocking will return around the same time.

Bur Dr Reid said the club will continue its conservative approach to his rehabilitation.

“Heath Hocking has got a form of osteitis pubis so that’s why it has been so long.

“He’s progressing but we will not rush him,” Dr Reid said.
