Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bombers each week exclusive to essendonfc.com.au.

LAST WEEK

A very handy 25 disposals and 11 tackles helped Ben Howlett to his best score of the season as the Bombers defeated the Lions by 58 points. Unfortunately for me, I had Howlett sitting on my Fantasy Elite bench and missed out on his 118 points.

Brent Stanton put up his fifth ton of the year while the man with the mo, Joe Daniher, finished on 103 points for his six goal haul.

Coaches backing in Dyson Heppell as their captain were disappointed with his score before his big last quarter that helped add respectability and take him to 93 points.

TOP 5 SCORERS V BRISBANE LIONS

  • 118 – Ben Howlett (FWD/MID, $431,000)
  • 108 – Brent Stanton (MID, $544,000)
  • 103 – Joe Daniher (FWD, $284,000)
  • 102 – Michael Hibberd (DEF, $414,000)
  • 97 – Cale Hooker (DEF, $393,000)

ON THE RADAR

I’m looking at picking up Michael Hibberd this week in my back line.

Hibbo was back to his best on Sunday afternoon running out of defence linking up with a few mark and kicks for the ever rewarding +6. After dropping $92K, it is hopefully safe to say that we won’t be seeing the Pig as cheap as this so we might as well jump on now.

WHAT’S COMING UP

It’s the Dreamtime at the ‘G game this Saturday night. Last time the two sides met, Heppell was the best for the Dons with 129 points.

David Zaharakis loves playing the Tigers. He scored 111 in round 20 and a massive 131 in the Dreamtime game in round 11. Hopefully we see the FWD/MID back for the blockbuster.

Saturday night’s Essendon v Richmond game is an AFL Fantasy Match Day competition. Pick your team of seven players at http://fantasy.afl.com.au or via the app for your chance to win $10,000 in the quickest and easiest Fantasy game to play.
