True Value Solar, Australia’s largest solar provider and long time supporter of the Essendon Football Club has announced the completed commercial installation of a power packed solar system at the club’s state-of-the-art training and administration facility.
The purpose built True Value Solar Centre includes an indoor training facility, gymnasium, player auditorium, swimming pool, recovery baths, dining facilities and corporate offices. Using clean, renewable energy generated from the sun to power the facility makes enormous financial sense and further cements the relationship between the Essendon Football Club and True Value Solar.
"Obviously the True Value Solar Centre operates primarily during daylight hours," commented Essendon CEO Xavier Campbell
"Using solar to power the facility delivers us a substantial cost saving that we can use to re-invest in other areas of our operations. Over time, this investment will deliver us competitive advantage."

The solar system installed was designed in house by True Value Solar’s experienced engineering team. As with all facets of the True Value Solar Centre, advanced technology has been adopted.
The 52 KW system is connected to the grid, enabling surplus energy to be sold back. A string design solution has been developed to connect 200 260W panels in series of 20. Leading manufacturer Q-Cell was chosen to supply the panels, which hook up to 2 German engineered 25KW inverters. True Value Solar used there own, highly skilled staff to complete the impressive installation.
