One of the people responsible for finding Essendon’s next Senior Coach is confident the person who gets the job will find there are a number of building blocks already in place at the Club.

The Bombers and Adelaide are in the process of finding a Coach for 2016, after Carlton confirmed Brendon Bolton’s appointment last week.

Neale Daniher is part of a five-person panel that will determine who is the right person to fill Essendon's vacant position.

Decorated coaches Kevin Sheedy and Craig Bellamy will also provide sounding boards throughout the process.

“I’m sure we’ll have great candidates,” Daniher told Fox Footy.

“People just don’t know.  Who was Luke Beveridge?  Two years ago who’s (Ken) Hinkley?

“I’m optimistic good coaches are out there.”

The Bombers have won five games this season and have tasted victory only once since the bye in mid June, but Daniher is confident of a quick turnaround.

“The Club is always in better shape than what it looks, always,” he said.

“They have got good people.

“They’ve got a good spine.

“I’m not here saying to the Essendon supporters it’ll all just click in, but I think they should look with optimism to the future.”
