There is plenty to enjoy at the 'Country Game'.

There is plenty to enjoy at the 'Country Game'.

The match between Essendon and Geelong on Saturday will form just part of the entertainment in the first ever ‘Country Game’.

From 10:30am, the Live Site outside Gate 3 will open. 

The stalls and entertainment on offer will bring a taste of the country to the city.

From homemade cheeses, to delicious jams and gourmet puddings – if you’re after a pre-game snack there will be plenty to choose from.

If it’s the competitive action that gets your juices flowing, be sure to check out the whip cracking, wood chopping and sheep sheering.

And there will be some great artists on show too including John Williamson, Darcy Nolan and Mustered Courage.

Inside the ground, the CFA will do a lap of honour at 1:20pm and John Williamson will perform Waltzing Matilda at 1:40pm.

Royal Melbourne Show

From 10:30am, see sheep shearing demonstrations, feed one of Farmer Darryl’s farmyard animals, witness sheer strength in the woodchop and whip crack displays and heaps more in a free, family celebration of the contribution of all-Australian regional communities.

You will also have the chance to win some amazing prizes including a VIP 2016 Royal Melbourne Show package – make sure you stop by the Royal Melbourne Show marquee before the first ball bounces to find out how you can win!

Outback Spirit

Robins Foods make an exiting, delicious range of Outback Spirit Provenance products that feature Australian native ingredients such as bush tomato from the desert, mountain pepper from the wilds of Tasmania, Kakadu Plum from the West Kimberly and Lemon Myrtle from the eastern coastal rainforest regions.  

We take the provenance of our ingredients, both  Indigenous and traditional – including our tomatoes, onions etc - very seriously. Ian and Juleigh Robins have been working in the native foods industry for 30 years and in 2008 they  establish the Outback Spirit Foundation – a philanthropic Foundation that assists Aboriginal enterprises to grow and market native foods and to facilitate the links between the growers and the consumer.  

The Outback Spirit range grown and made in Australia, includes chutneys, sauces, hot sauces, herbs, rubs and seasoned salts. Robins Foods are also an accredited member of the Victorian Farmers Markets Association.
