Essendon has made three inclusions for the squad set to face Carlton this Sunday at the MCG.

Ryan Crowley, Jonathan Simpkin and James Polkinghorne have all been named on the extended bench.

If named in the side, James Polkinghorne will play his first game since 2014.

Crowley and Simpkin both had impressive games for Essendon VFL in the big win against Collingwood.

The midfielders put on a show collecting 62 disposals between them and also kicking six goals.
