There was some time between goals early in the game against the Blues on Sunday, but Fantasy points were still flowing.

Courtenay Dempsey (DEF, $319,000) was the sole Bomber to ton-up with 103 but the points were spread among the other 21 players. David Zaharakis (MID, $529,000) and Zach Merrett (MID, $567,000) scored 98 each.

The second most selected Essendon player, Mitch Brown (FWD/DEF, $288,000) racked up his highest score of the season with 96 and brings his breakeven down to 14. Brown should add to the $94K he has accumulated so far and survives the upgrade/downgrade cull for a couple of weeks.

Unfortunately the same can’t be said for Matt Dea (DEF, $300,000) and Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (DEF/FWD, $290,000). Judging by their recent form, 38 and 41 on the weekend respectively, they have just about reached their price peak this season. In fact, Dea dropped $3K in value and is currently the most traded out player of the round. He is averaging 64.3, which is very solid for his price, but it’s time to use the $130K he has made to either upgrade to a premium or cash in by downgrading to a cheaper player coming through with a low breakeven.

Darcy Parish (MID, $359,000) is also among the most traded out for this round. The first round draft pick dropped $10K and like some of the other cash cow Bombers, it’s time to move him on.

Last week James Kelly (DEF/MID, $505,000) was awarded dual position eligibility. Due to his role in the backline, Kelly added DEF status to have the extra flexibility of being selected in defence as well as the midfield. As one of the few defenders averaging over 100, think about how you can get him in. If you can find a couple of thousand of dollars, try to upgrade Dea or McDonald-Tipungwuti to the former Cat.
