The Essendon Women’s Network is proud to present the 2016 Women’s Networking Luncheon on Friday July 15th.

The event offers insight, inspiration and a wonderful networking opportunity as we celebrate women in football.

Master of Ceremonies, Tiffany Cherry will lead a panel in exploring the topic ‘The Brave New World – Women in Football’.

Discussing the topic will be a group of women who have all broken down barriers.

The Footy Show co-host Rebecca Maddern, 2015 Football Woman of the Year Jan Cooper, St Kilda Development Coach Peta Searle and the first female AFL field umpire Eleni Glouftsis make-up the panel.

Essendon Women’s Network Chair, Jane Grover, said there has never been a more exciting time for women in football.

“The launch of the AFL women’s league presents so many opportunities for women to become involved in the game,” Grover said.

“This event celebrates the contribution women make today and looks ahead to what the contribution will look like in the years to come.

“We’ve assembled an eclectic panel who have spent their time in different areas of the football world.

“All have overcome adversity and challenged the status quo.

“Their stories are truly inspiring.”

The event will be held at ZINC in Federation Square, allowing guests to overlook the Yarra River as they enjoy a two-course lunch.
