Vale Bob Suter

9 June 1928 – 17 September 2016

Essendon Football Club is mourning the loss of former player Bob Suter.

Recruited from Broadford, Suter played 22 games from 1956 to 1958.

He played two games in 1956 before becoming a regular in the side in 1957.  He played in the back pocket in that season’s losing Grand Final side.

Suter was named the Club’s most unselfish player in 1957.

He retired in 1958 and went on to play with Kyneton before returning to Broadford.

Suter is survived by his wife Catherine, and children Robert, Peter and Jennifer.
