Essendon has made nine changes to its squad for the match against Gold Coast on Sunday.
Recent draftees Jordan Ridley, Josh Begley, Kobe Mutch and Dylan Clarke are in line to make their first appearance in the red and black after being named in the 29-man squad.
Brent Stanton will run out with the side for the first time since 2015 while Joe Daniher, Michael Hartley and Conor McKenna have also been named.
The 29-man squad will be trimmed to 26 on Sunday.
Heath Hocking, Jake Long and Jayden Laverde were the three late exclusions last week. All three have been named in the 29-man squad for Sunday.
David Myers won’t play after injuring his finger during the week while Dyson Heppell, Zach Merrett, David Zaharakis, Mark Baguley, Craig Bird, Patrick Ambrose, James Kelly and Orazio Fantasia won’t make the trip north.
