Special events: The Long Walk

The Long Walk “We Walk Together” Free Community Event for 2017 will be taking place at Federation Square on Saturday 27th of May from 1pm. There will be a flag raising ceremony at the Swanston ST forecourt where Aunty Gail Mabo will be assisting in the permanent flying of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flags.

You will also have the pleaser of hearing Artists Casey Donovan, Jayden Reid and the Soul Singers perform. The Indigenous Hip Hop Project takes to the stage at around 2:30pm.

There will be lots to see around Fed Square. We will have Arts and Crafts for the kids as well as sporting and cultural activations. Michael will commence his walk to the annual Dreamtime @ the ‘G match at 4:15pm sharp.
