Essendon VFL has recorded its second victory in a row, beating the Northern Blues by 81 points at Windy Hill.

Brent Stanton was the major ball winner of the day, finishing with 36 disposals, 10 marks and five tackles.

Jayden Laverde continued to soar back into form, after missing the first half of the season with injury.

The forward was the leading goal kicker for the Bombers finishing with six goals from his 19 disposals.

Essendon was too strong for the Blues, controlling the game for its entirety.

The Dons defence restricted the visitors to just four goals.

The Bombers then ran away with it in the final term, finishing 81 points ahead of the Blues.
