The 21 year old is 12th on the AFL leading goal kickers list. Adelaide’s Eddie Betts (41 goals) and Port Adelaide’s Robbie Gray (40 goals) are the only ‘small forwards’ who have kicked more goals than Fantasia this season.

Since round eight, David Zaharakis is averaging 28.6 possessions per game, well up from the 18 he was averaging throughout the first seven rounds of the season.

Zaharakis’ increased ball winning in the ten game stretch between rounds eight and ten helped the Bombers win six games in that period.

He’s also booted four goals in the last three weeks to take his season tally to ten, the equal highest (with Travis Colyer) of any Essendon midfielder so far this season.

Dyson Heppell produced another impressive display for the Bombers on Saturday. He had eight inside 50s from his 26 possessions. The Essendon Captain also had seven clearances, laid five tackles and kicked two goals.
