Joe Daniher believes the Bombers are in a strong position to improve again in 2018.

The 2017 Crichton Medallist said the Club was about to enter an exciting period with a talented list in the right age demographic.

“We’ve been building over the last 12 to 24 months to get this squad together and we have played some reasonable football together,” Daniher said

“Now we are in the position where we have players entering the peak of their careers, it’s a really exciting time after a few tough years so to be playing for the football club at this point in time is really exciting.”

Daniher said the players would use the disappointment from the finals loss in Sydney as further motivation.

“We haven’t spoken about it in a formal sense but just between the players,” Daniher said

“We were really unhappy with the way that the end of the season panned out for us, it obviously wasn’t the result we wanted or thought we deserved.”

“But that’s the way it goes and that fire will burn across pre-season and we are really excited about the 2018 season”
