Essendon Football Club is proud to announce a new partnership with Bartercard for the 2018 season.

Bartercard is a flexible way of trading products and services without cash or credit cards – turning spare capacity, empty seats and excess stock into a valuable asset.

Essendon CEO Xavier Campbell said the partnership offers a number of opportunities.

“We are excited for this new partnership with Bartercard,” Campbell said.

“Bartercard provides a unique platform to engage with new suppliers and enhance the Club’s financial management across a number of areas.

“We look forward to fostering new relationships through this partnership as part of our long term growth strategy of the Essendon Football Club.”

Founded in 1991, Bartercard works with thousands of SMEs in countries where members trade $600 million worth of products and services every year.

Bartercard CEO Clive van Deventer said he is thrilled to partner with an iconic brand like Essendon for the 2018 season.

“Bartercard has a 26-year history in the small and medium business sectors where members worldwide exchange products and services without cash or credit cards,” he said.

“Like the Bombers, we’ve been passionate about supporting our local communities through sports and charities – not just in business but on the field too – in fact since launching in 1991 we’ve invested over $100 million into the sporting and community arena.

“Essendon Football Club is an iconic brand that encompasses pride and passion, and we just can’t wait to work with them.”

Partnering with Bartercard provides Essendon with the flexibility to work with other Bartercard trading companies to provide services that the Club use on a daily basis. Bartercard will be heavily involved in the events area as well as other traditional operating expenditure for the Club.
