Bombers esports and Virgin Australia are taking flight in a new partnership during the Bombers esports high performance camp in the US.

As naming rights partner of the trip, Virgin Australia branding will feature on the Bombers esports apparel and be integrated with a special content series to be produced across the two weeks of the training camp in Los Angeles.

The camp will provide the Bombers team with the opportunity to train in a dedicated esports space, learn from the best players in the US, scrim against some of the best teams in the region and prepare for split two of the upcoming Oceanic Pro League competition.

Virgin Australia Head of Consumer & Partner Marketing Rapthi Thanapalasingam said the opportunity to partner with the Bombers esports team was very exciting.

“Virgin Australia is excited to be entering into the world of esports,” Lloyd said.

“There is strong alignment for our brand, we see the Bombers team changing the game in esports, in the same way we are changing the game in air travel.

“The team will be travelling to the US on one of our most important international routes, Melbourne to Los Angeles direct.

“esports is a new frontier and we look forward to taking flight with the Bombers.”

Essendon Chief Marketing Officer Justin Rodski said the Bombers were thrilled to partner with Virgin Australia.

“We are delighted to welcome Virgin Australia as a partner of Bombers esports,” Rodski said.

“This is the start of a really exciting partnership for our team and our players, taking flight with Virgin Australia to continue our esports journey.”

“Thanks to Virgin Australia, fans will be taken inside the camp with a dedicated player content series, behind the scenes insights of the experience and a feature documentary to be produced at the conclusion of the camp.”
