As part of the two day camp, the club will conduct training sessions, visit local schools and take part in a number of community visits.
Essendon chief executive Ian Robson said the club was looking forward to the camp.
"We're thrilled to be heading to the Maryborough, Castlemaine and Kyneton for the club's 2012 Community camp," Robson said.
"It is a great chance for the team to embrace the community and the camp really emphasises our support and commitment to the broader and local community which is very important to our football club.”
Victorian Country Football League events manager Jock Allan said the affect of Essendon’s visit to the communities is extremely valuable.
“We can’t underestimate the benefit and boost a visit by the Essendon Football Club gives these communities and townships in regional Victoria,” Allan said.
“Over the journey of this camp we will visit around 20 local schools in the region, with hundreds of kids having the chance to kick the footy with an AFL star.
“For many this is the only chance they get to be up close and personal to an AFL team, and the sense of inclusion they feel as a result is very important to rural communities.”
