After arriving in Maryborough earlier this morning, the players and coaching staff enjoyed hospital and school community visits in the wider Maryborough region extending to Castlemaine.
Several hundred young Bomber fans enjoyed the opportunity to have a kick with their football heroes at the Princes Park in Maryborough for the AFL Auskick Super Clinic, whilst securing their favourite players’ autographs.
Hometown hero Stewart Crameri spent much of the day mixing in with the adoring locals, after receiving a warm welcome at the Civic Reception in the city centre.
From there, the players were split up for two formal function evenings, hosted in both Maryborough and Castlemaine with guest speakers including senior assistant coach Mark Thompson and captain Jobe Watson.
Day two will involve a number of community school and hospital visits as well as a Super Clinic in the Castlemaine and Kyneton regions.

I attended the dinner last night in Maryborough and I would like to say a huge thank you to Travis Colyer who we had sitting on our table with us. It was a pleasure to meet and chat to you and I hope you have a great year this year . Leanne

What a thrill for those people, especially the children!
I also heard something about Zaka mentionee on the news last night. What was that about?
So many camps - Well done Essendon! Wait, hope it's not because Essendon doesn't have a ground to train on LOL :(
Looked like a great day was had by all. May I add that I especially liked the part of the video showing Jobe holding up a baby which the Bomber captain accepted on behalf of his Essendon teammates as a welcoming gift from the Maryborough township.
The EFC needs a huge pat on the back for these sort of initiatives. So very proud to be a member of this mighty all encompassing club.
