Both football and tennis came together yesterday as Essendon stars Brent Stanton and Stewart Crameri presented world number one Caroline Wozniacki with a Bombers guernsey ahead of the 2012 Australian Open.
The Danish bombshell and tennis Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga mingled with Stanton and Crameri at yesterday’s adidas open briefing at the Grand Hyatt before the two week tournament at Melbourne Park.

Asked whether she was an AFL fan, Wozniacki said she had an interest in the game despite not quite knowing the rules.
“I’ve seen it, it’s good,” Wozniacki said.
“I don’t know the rules too well, but I do like the game.”
Crameri said he was excited to have met the pair ahead of the Australian Open tournament, commencing today.
“Both Caroline and Jo were really friendly and we’re glad to have them on board as honorary Bomber fans while they’re in town,” Crameri said.
"Thank you to adidas who gave us the opportunity to meet them."

NOEL....you crack me up sometimes. "nudge, nudge, wink, wink," "shake the tin"....always thinking, you are. Cheers, love reading your comments.
Now if we could only get Roger Federer on board. I'd be happy to explain to him the rules of "our" game.
Thank you Gail,I am in good company in these forums, many make my day with their expressions of EFC love, loyalty, respect, support and opinion..present company included :-) :-) Enjoy 2012 Gail,Go Bombers !!
Noel with that comment you need to be made part of our marketing department. Keep up the good work.
How about, "WoWing", the Essendon faithfull, with ON-FIELD performances in 2012. Pock-Pock-Pock tennis is boring, just like cricket. Four weeks til NAB Cup, Go Bombers.
..Think I'm old hat Alan, had a sure fire "winner" with the "budget" Jamie Cooper Team Of The Century print, for all the masses of Bomber Fans.. Don't think I'd fit in...don't think they like my ideas.. one can tell about these things, with the silence... :-) Reading Nick's pock-pock-pock... reminds me of the time the hail was hitting me on the head Christmas Day.. he he he :-)
