What an honor it will be for Stewart Crameri to return home to a civic reception as a club hero surrounded by his fellow club heroes. I bet pride will be surging through him the whole time.

Ain't it bloomin marvelous, when they were in Queensland we couldn't see the fabric of a jumper, now they are available for all during the visit to the goldfields, but i wouldn't expect this post to get through either, complain about the lack of support, for the supporters in Brisbane usually spells the death warrant for posts, especially if the complaint is for the lack of feeling for Qld in general, it seems the club chooses to ignore us.
Damn, when I read the headline, I thought my beloved team was travelling to the REAL Goldfields (Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA) but alas, it wasn't the case...
Why is it that Queenslanders are not the flavour of the month, when Sheedy was about he always put the supporter base first, last, and always, Hirdy you need to address this very noticable anomaly, if you lose your supporter base, in any numbers then you lose one hell of a lot of clout, we in queensland have every right to feel neglected, we are starved for contact, i know fixtures are not your fault, but believe a bit of pr while they were in our backyard for that week, would have been a very worth while exercise for a lot of very loyal fans.
EI, I think it's about time that someone at the club replied to Max's justified concerns,
Geez they were up there for a week earlier in the pre season Rod, everyone knew they were there, next time use your iniative and go watch them train, at Southport for instance was a perfect opportunity to sit back and watch them or you could of found out find which beach they were at and go down plonk yourself on the sand and watch, until Qld schools start asking the EFC to come and do clinics or the Lord Mayor of the GC or Brisbane give them a civic reception, I doubt whether the club can accomodate everyone that wants to meet the players, they would not get any training done at all!
cheers, Paul.
Max understand your frustration, however Hirdy has hidden the whole team this year, we dont get access to training sessions here in Melbourne this year which is hard for all the young kids who want to see their heroes. The difference between the Brisbane camp and the goldfields one is that, the Goldfields is AFL organised and the all activities are AFL orrientated. The Queensland camp was all Essendon and is part of the training programme, so dont think Ess is trying to show favouritism to any group of supporters as this year no supporter has seen any part of Ess whats so ever, I think it is all part of gthe bigger plan.
Hi Max, we are looking to organise events for our interstate fans around the season matches and we will certainly make this known to supporter bases in advance. We appreciate your input and will hopefully have something shortly for the Queensland fans.
