Ben was already a good in and under player, but he will be even more effective in that role now that he has bulked up so much. Travis should do better too, now that he is considerably bigger, as well as a lot of the other guys, but Fletch doesn't need much muscle to be a freakishly good player.

I had no idea who that bloke in the photo on the main page for this story was...... I could make out Benny Howlett behind him, and he looks like he has bulked up a bit, but when I realised it was Trav Colyer..... wow. What he doesnt have in height he can make up for in being a brick wall to stop people in their tracks.... go hard mate.

The boys look to be working very hard. We should be a much better outfit next year from a physical perspective. The mental and tactical perspectives will also be critical for us. We can't allow the backline to leak the amount of points they did this year.

Hi E.I just wanted know if any of our footballers wear glasses my son who is 6 wears glasses would really like to know if this will affect him playing junior footy? I see his passion and skill and he can play the game if any parent has put his child infooty is there any special glasses or goggles the last thing i want is for him to be picked on and hate the game.

Not sure getting too big is the best idea, i remember the year when Hird was a tank (think he even pulled the sleeve less jumper on) and to be honest it probably wasnt his best year. Simmons from the tigers did the same thing one year and he couldnt bend over to pick the bull up. But it seems the trend this year.

Just watched the strengthen communities through sport vid.. this is why I support Essendon not because of the on field successes but for the way this great club brings people of all cultures and from all walks of life together, humanity and the giving of strength to those who need it, we are one!

They really are looking.Maybe a suggestion in raising money for the Flight Plan.Sorry guys not for you, but the women will come from everywhere I'm sure.Get speedo or a swimwear company to sponsor them.The boys can do a fashion show of speedo's and boardshorts,maybe a bit of pole dancing to spice the day up.Lets really see how they have toned their bodies and raise money for a good cause-:)Diane

Can't wait for the new facility. Don't leave this room much boys other than for track training; its the endurance and strong bodies that will see us get further up the ladder and become a larger threat - no secrets there. Go Dons!

They had a lovely spread every training night,and after each game.. A couple of long trestle tables of jumbo sausage rolls.. ahhh those were the days my friends... A proud history,a part time ruck champ created,it doesn't get any better than that :-) :-) Go you Mighty Purple & Golds !! (err sorry.. they're gone.. but they live on thru the Chargers !! Go The Mighty Blue & Reds!!) AND Go The Mighty Bombers :-) :-)
