Well hello all, these Rookies seem hungry, & keen to be in the Black & Red.Young Lauchie, Brendan, & Cory looked pumped & focussed with good attack, & disposals. The future looks real good with Rookies of their calibre, & also their mates showing speed, & tackling skills.
Some pace, strength and skills there. I hope they can develop and be a big success with the Bombers.
A new Bomber problem, how many of these young blokes can we elevate, without major injuries, they certainly look the goods, Dell Olio looked like the old Libba, and the tackling was first class from all, they all could fit into the team without beig disgraced, play your cards right young fellas, we have a good record of finding rookie talent, never say die, and good luck to you all.
After seeing the video, I can only hope the draftees are half as good as the rookies look ready and very able. Love the look of Cory, he seems to have a bit of Eddy Betts around the goals.
All in all, we seemed to have picked up a quick, clever bunch of rookies with good disposal skills.
Well done Bombers - looking forward to a big year.
Good job done by the recruiting department. All the lads look up to it. Dalgleish and Lee look very good in these clips.
Very impressed with all of the players. Dayleish may be the xfactor with his speed. The others look really skilled and clever. Can't believe they are only rookies.
It's really annoying that you can't watch videos on your phone. Can we do something about this?
Gee, I enjoyed that - again and again and again. Snowing like blazes here in Tokyo and a slow train home. Some nicknames popped into mind. Lauchlan 'Afterburners' Dalgleish - 'nuff said. Cory 'Astronaut' DellOlio, 'cause he always finds space (considered 'De Niro' for resemblance, but also "loves the smell of a goal - reminds him of victory"). Hal 'Ha-ha' Hunter - 'cause, "Ha-ha, you thought you had time!". What a great get and give player! Brendan 'Radar Love' Lee, always comin' on strong (think Golden Earring), and he seems to know where the ball is! Mark 'Biff' Baguley. Top marks for giving anyone in a Hawthorn jumper a bit to go on with! Or 'The Grip'. Loved it!
Top job recruiting staff, building a great side. Good luck boys.
Cory Dell'Olio looks to me like the player that can fill the gap left when Darren Bewick retired
Dalgleish looks like he could develop into something special! Del'Oglio reminds me of a better skilled Colyer. Best of luck to all of them and here's hoping they come on and make valuable contributions to the club.
Great stuff... Love the confidence of Dell'Olio's play-on, there were quite a few opposition players left flat-footed with their heads spinning in those clips!
Hard to believe these guys are only rookies. A very impressive lot. Hopefully they get their opportunities in the senior side to show off their talents.
Great idea staff writer, loved the video. nice to be able to see some footage of these guys. The rookie system is such a good idea, can't believe some of these guys were over looked, EI can they play in the NAB cup?
Most players drafted onto AFL rookie lists never even get elevated to a senior list, but I will be surprised if most of these young guys don't get promoted onto our senior list, and do very well, like Stewart Crameri and several others have. I really like what I have seen in these samples of their play.
Baguley will play AFL this year. You heard it first from me.
Have to quiz you on Baguley Mark Mc. A backman that looks the goods. The only one we picked up this year but I have to agree with Luke. And from Langwarrin / Funkytown! Just like me, a champion part time back pocket - flanker!
Hal Hunters smothers! The rookies should be included in the team list. One team, one dream etc. I have to agree Max Ellis, I think our recruiters have done well and got it right. There is a bit of pressure on a few of our listed seniors. No passengers this year, in Jimmy we trust.
Mark, Hal, Lauchlan, Brendan, Cory seem to have excellent potential to put pressure on for senior spots this year
