Gumbleton and Prismall placed on long-term injury list

Essendon has placed duo Scott Gumbleton and Brent Prismall on the club’s long-term injury list. With the pair expected to miss round one, General manager football operations Paul Hamilton said the move was part of preparation for the opening round of the home and away season.

Recently former Essendon defender Andrew Welsh hit the raceway at Phillip Island to take a ride in a V8 supercar. Bomber TV was there to capture all the action as Welsh flew around the track at speeds of up to 280 kilometres an hour.

Bombers appreciate golden support

Essendon ruckman David Hille says the club’s two day community camp this week gave the players a chance to show their appreciation for the support from the Goldfields region. The Bombers two day camp through Maryborough, Castlemaine and Kyneton included a number of community and school visits as well as kids clinics.

When asked how he looks back on 2011, Essendon midfielder Brent Stanton smiles then pauses. There’s many ways to answer the question, but he chooses the most composed option. “There was a few ups and a few downs in there,” he says.
