The speedster from Western Australia launched himself into the 2015 season. Travis Colyer showed the value of his pace and ball-winning abilities on a number of occasions, providing some much needed run for the team. He was consistently among the Club's best players before unfortunately hitting a hurdle midway through the season when scans revealed that he had a 'hot' navicular. Colyer would undergo immediate surgery and miss the remainder of the season. The team definitely missed his speed and will be looking forward to return in 2016.

Season by Season

West Australian Colyer quickly gained a reputation as a super sub after damaging performances off the bench in Essendon’s wins over Geelong in round 15 and Port Adelaide in round 23. Though small, he is tenacious, has speed and can kick goals. Will be keen to secure his position in the team in his third season after agreeing to a new two-year deal.

Season By Season

After playing just one game in the first 13 rounds, Colyer revived his career with an excellent second half of the 2014 season and was named the club's most improved player. Colyer played the final 11 games - the longest streak of his five-year career- and provided plenty of spark and speed to the midfield. The club was rapt with Colyer's improvement and with his spot in the line-up assured, his pace and new found composure will be an important part of its mix again next season.
