Dempsey paid the price for a slow start to pre-season when he was banished to train with the club’s VFL squad for not meeting the team’s standards and expectations. A key cog in the Bombers' defence, he then injured his hamstring at VFL level before returning to the senior side.He finished the season having played 18 games, but will be aiming for a more consistent year off half-back and the wing in 2015.
