Following up from a successful return from a knee reconstruction in 2012, Dempsey continued to reaffirm his status as an offensive weapon off the half-back line in 2013. Combining with Hibberd, Dempsey was able to consistently break opposition defensive lines with his trademark speed. Dempsey will form an important part of the Bombers backline for the 2014 season.
