The big man proved he still has plenty of fire in the belly after his standout performance in the final round of the season. Hille sustained a calf injury just tow games into the campaign but returned to play a pivotal role in the second half of 2012. Boasting a wealth of experience and the ability to crash through packs and boot goals, the veteran will no doubt be putting his hand up for the number one ruck spot again next season.

Season by Season

Hille starred in his team’s round one victory over the Western Bulldogs after an interrupted pre-season. From then on the veteran ruckman's workload had to be managed. He finished the year playing 19 games and kicking 20 goals but still looking short of his best. A fully fit Hille remains one of Essendon’s key players.
