The young midfielder raised his game to next level in 2013 after being challenged by the coaching staff. Dropped for the ANZAC Day blockbuster, Melksham responded in fantastic fashion, improving gradually each week before becoming one of the club’s best and most consistent performers in the latter half of the season. A three-goal performance in the club’s 140-year celebration game against Carlton was the highlight of Melksham’s season, which included the match-winning goal with less than two minutes remaining. Bomber fans will be hopping Melksham can continue his upward curve in 2014 and become a vital part of the Bombers’ midfield.
