After his Brownlow-winning season in 2012, 2013 provided more of the same for the inspirational captain, as he put off-field pressures aside to produce more of the same brilliance Bomber fans have come to expect from the Watson name. Despite missing three games after breaking his collarbone against Port Adelaide, Watson was still able to make the All-Australian team for the second consecutive year while also finishing as the club’s runner-up in the Crichton Medal. A new four-year deal will see Watson remain at the club until the end of the 2017 season.
