A serious ankle injury earlier in the season limited O’Brien’s chances at a senior level and was restricted to just two games against Richmond and Collingwood, but the Bombers will be hoping Nick can secure a consistent spot in the forward line next season.

The 2011 captain of the North Ballarat Rebels in the TAC Cup is an agile and versatile player with strong hands, good game awareness and a great engine. Played all five matches for Vic Country at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, averaging 18 disposals and six marks, and can also play as a midfielder if required.
