Early in season 2008 Matthew Knights said that Ricky Dyson would be given every opportunity to build on his career. Remaining true to his word, Knights played Dyson 15 times – the second most games the 23-year-old has played in a season since arriving at Windy Hill in 2004. Dyson showed he has the speed and skill to play at the top level but will need to improve his consistency. Having played 64 games leading into the 2009 season, this is a crucial year for Dyson and the club has high hopes that he can cement a place in the Bomber engine room and become a real contributor.
