Leroy Jetta will play his first game of the season after being named one of four inclusions into Essendon’s side to take on GWS on Saturday afternoon.

Jetta, Jake Melksham and Tayte Pears have all been included in the team following strong performances in the VFL last weekend.

Western Australian Nick Kommer also returns to the side after serving his two-match suspension for rough conduct.

Coach James Hird happy with the inclusions ahead of the club’s Round 6 clash.

“All those players well and truly deserve a game and strengthen our team immensely,” Hird told BomberTV.

“It is another chance for us to show ourselves as a very good team in the competition against a side who has got a lot of very good and young players in their team.”

Dyson Heppell will miss the match with groin soreness and Jason Winderlich as the club continues to manage his workload.

“We are managing his (Winderlich’s) loads after playing five games in a row, two of those in the AFL,” Hird told BomberTV.

Key defender Jake Carlisle has failed to prove his fitness for the match after rolling his ankle on ANZAC Day and Travis Colyer has been omitted.
