Essendon will unveil its fourth debutant of the season against North Melbourne with elevated rookie Lauchlan Dalgleish one of five inclusions for Saturday afternoon’s game.

The Bombers line up will also be bolstered by the return of Stewart Crameri, Nick O’Brien, Joe Daniher and Leroy Jetta to the team.

David Myers has been rested with Dustin Fletcher and Patrick Ryder both missing through suspension.

Jason Winderlich is set to miss the next 2-3 weeks with hamstring tightness and Scott Gumbleton has suffered soreness through his thigh.

Crameri returns to the senior side after two matches at VFL level where he regained important match fitness after being out with an ankle injury.

Dalgliesh, a 20-year-old running half back is expected to provide the Bombers with important run and poise out of the back half.

Coach James Hird said it was exciting to see Dalgleish gain his opportunity at senior level.

“It will be his first game of VFL football after being upgraded off the rookie list today and we look forward to seeing Lachie in action,” Hird said.

“He is a dashing half back who we are hoping will take the game on.”
