Essendon’s Robert Rose Foundation Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) squad has been finalised for the 2019 season.

Louis Rowe, Caleb Logan and James Leonard have all been retained, with an exciting crop of new players set to join them and don the sash this year.

Logan starred for the Dons in 2018, finishing the year with 31 goals from eight matches to secure the side’s first ever Best and Fairest Award and deservedly earn selection in the VWFL Team of the Year.

The Bombers finished fourth in the five-team league’s inaugural season but will be looking to improve with a strong squad this time around.

There is still plenty of time for the side to prepare for the exciting season ahead, which is due to start on May 12 at Boroondara Sports Complex, and the club is set to once again fight it out with Collingwood, Hawthorn, Richmond and St Kilda for the premiership.
