Essendon VFL has been forced to make at least two changes to its squad for Sunday’s match against Coburg at Piranha Park.

Exciting youngster Irving Mosquito will miss due to a hamstring injury sustained in last weekend’s two-goal win over Werribee, while experienced tall Zac Clarke has been recalled to the seniors.

AFL-listed Don Josh Begley returns to the line-up at full forward, while Jake McQueen, Dylan Landt, Nino Lazzaro, Josh Tynan, Bruno Laguda and Luke Goetz have been named on the extended interchange bench.

Following a best-on-ground performance against Werribee which saw him play at both ends of the ground, Michael Hartley will start at half-back, with Brandon Zerk-Thatcher named at full-back.

Skipper Aaron Heppell will begin in the centre alongside Brayden Ham and Kobe Mutch, while latest signing Riley Bowman will play as the No.1 ruckman.

Ben Huggard retains his spot as the 23rd player.

The final team will be decided before the first bounce at 12:30pm on Sunday, June 7.

Live match updates will be available via Essendon VFL’s Twitter.
