Ahead of one of the industry’s premier events in September’s Essedon Women's Network (EWN) Grand Final Comedy Debate, members of the Essendon Women’s Network came together on Friday evening to 'Barrack for the Bombers'.

Over 100 EWN members gathered at The Botanical for the inaugural Barrack for the Bombers social function to watch their beloved Bombers take on the Crows interstate in the round 18 clash.

Established in 1997, the EWN has long been regarded as the most successful women’s group within the AFL industry.

The EWN supports and celebrates women’s contribution to football, and provides an inclusive and supportive social network for women to connect.

While raising funds for the Essendon Football Club, primarily through its marquee event – the Grand Final Comedy Debate – the EWN also assists the club with its female engagement strategy.
