Zach Merrett has once again topped Essendon's Brownlow Medal leaderboard, polling 13 votes from 16 games to finish an equal 11th overall in the 2020 count.

While ineligible for the award, it was the second year in a row Merrett polled the most votes for the red and black. 

Merrett’s efforts have seen the prolific onballer rise seven places in the Bombers’ all-time votes medal leaderboard, jumping from 19th to 12th with 74 votes to his name, 12 behind Essendon legend Tim Watson.

Newly re-signed young gun Andrew McGrath capped a stellar season to earn the first Brownlow votes of his career, polling seven as the Dons' second highest vote-getter.

Dylan Shiel (six votes), David Zaharakis (four votes), Anthony McDonald Tipungwuti, Adam Saad and Jake Stringer (two votes) rounded out the Dons’ top five.
